Medway Council is looking for an experienced marketing professional, who is passionate about all areas of climate change, to join their busy communications team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of Medway Council’s climate change agenda, our waste and recycling service, including litter management and fly-tipping, as well as all the wonderful greenspaces Medway boasts. You will develop and deliver strategic, creative campaigns to help the council meet their environmental objectives, including the climate change action plan that was agreed and published last year.

This is a really exciting role where creativity is key. You will have responsibility for many marketing campaigns from conception right through to execution and evaluation. You will lead on various digital communications channels, supporting the development of a digital-first approach, working with the rest of communications team to continue improving our social media channels.

Working as part of a larger team, you will make sure brand values and tone of voice is followed, remain up to date in digital communications, help to ensure that service performance targets are met and also uphold social media standards.
