SEND Project Officer
Directorate: Children's Services
Starting salary: JG6:- £25,927 per annum
Location: Based in Castlewood, Clevedon
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term for up to 12 months

The SEND team require an enthusiastic, flexible, analytical and organised individual to deliver a wide range of projects for the SEND team. This will support the SEND improvement plan for the area. The successful candidate will need to ensure that all activities are carried out in line with current best practices, are open and inclusive and enhances the council’s reputation. You would need to support several projects as directed by the sponsor or relevant Head(s) of Service.
This role includes maintaining an online resource of policies, procedures, and other documents, ensuring that regular updates take place as required. As well as working with the Education inclusion managers to ensure that service redesign activities are delivered promptly and correctly, including impacts on staffing and systems management. There is a requirement to analyse and interpret data/information and make recommendations to support decision making by others for a broad range of activities to improve service outcomes.
The Education Inclusion Service includes a number of teams, including the SEND Team and we deal with sensitive, and at times, difficult situations.
This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
