Anti-Social Behaviour Warden

Location: London Borough of Enfield – Civic Centre

Salary: SO1 £31,122 - £32,112

Full Time (36 hours per week) | Fixed-term position until 1st April 2024

The London Borough of Enfield is seeking to recruit two Anti-Social Behaviour Wardens to its well-regarded Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Team. The posts will be based within the Community Safety Unit and will help contribute directly towards the council’s objective to keep communities safe and free from crime.

The post holders will have direct contact with members of the public and will provide a presence in the community by seeking to reduce levels of crime and anti-social behaviour and fear of crime. They will also provide reassurance and help to create a safer environment. The roles will help to identify hotspots and take action to reduce ASB in Neighbourhoods and on Estates. These roles will help to make a difference to the lives of residents in Enfield and will deal with behaviour that has an impact on the wider community that takes place in public open spaces. When necessary the role will require an enforcement led approach.

The post-holder will work closely with other agencies within the crime and disorder partnership including working with Police. The post holders will also have close links to Enfield Public Safety Centre and the council’s CCTV network to provide intelligence led responses.

The roles will have some focus on resident and business engagement and involvement to enhance local problem solving. The roles will also work with community groups and specialist support services.

The role will require some knowledge of ASB Legislation and using the relevant tools and powers. We are looking for individuals who are good communicators who can liaise effectively at all levels.

The roles of ASB Wardens are not an emergency service.
