CASS is proud to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Practitioner 12-month fixed term contract. We are a fast-paced team, who work core hours of 8.45 to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday, 8.45 to 4.15pm on a Friday, and we work city wide in Birmingham.

Your role would involve processing referrals that have come from different agencies, members of the public and family’s. You will undertake relevant background work and checks prior to case progression. Information comes from a variety sources, for example, calls and emails. Understanding of threshold, in particular around Right Help Right Time is vital, as is the ability to collate information in a timely manner and make evidence-based decisions for each case.

You will work collaboratively with Social Workers to make effective and efficient decision making, supporting Referral and Advice Officers to provide guidance and advice to professionals, members of the public, partner agencies in CASS and families. Your team will be in the office a minimum of once a week to be able to continue to develop relationships with your colleagues and our partner agencies in CASS and MASH.
