Hospitality Assistant
Due to growing demand for our meeting and event space, we are looking to recruit a Hospitality Assistant to work within our Hospitality Team. The post holder will work with the team to find new and innovative ways to deliver our Hospitality offer across a number of buildings throughout the district. This post is temporary for 6 months.
This job offers an exciting opportunity to develop event coordination skills and work with a variety of internal and external clients. Working closely with the facilities support team, we provide a service across Lancaster City Council venues whilst building upon opportunities within our commercial assets. You would be liaising with local and national businesses to grow the reputation and offer available to the district. Our events range from exhibitions and conferences, to weddings and concerts; we always strive to deliver the best customer service; and attention to detail is incredibly important. Therefore, experience within the Hospitality industry would be beneficial and enthusiasm is essential.
The hours of work are 30 per week on a rota basis, which will include evenings and weekends. This post is temporary for 6 months. This post is based at Lancaster Town Hall
A full current UK driving licence is essential, as the post holder will be required to travel between sites in order to deliver our hospitality offer.

The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced clearance with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
You may be required to undertake Standby duties to cover out of hours work.
