What we are looking for:
2 experienced Economic Development Officers to join our team and help deliver our 2021-2025 Economic Growth Strategy (EGS). Watford has a dynamic local economy and our EGS sets the framework to ensure we maintain our leading position as a regional economic hub, as well as evolve to respond to the changing needs of businesses over time. In response to the pandemic, we are putting in place strong foundations for long term economic prosperity which will enable our whole community to thrive. We are recognised as a forward thinking and creative town which pushes boundaries where we can achieve more, and this is reflected through team culture. Priorities for the team include developing Watford's skills and employment Plan, key sector growth plans, a strategy to embed community wealth building principles, and ensuring good support for Watford's vibrant Town Centre, all working closely with partners and stakeholders. We are also taking a fresh look at how to ensure Watford's business community is well connected and has an environmentally sustainable future. We are looking for a passionate and focused person to become part of this team and help Watford remain a great place to live, work and do business.
