The Council is seeking an ICT Manager to lead its enthusiastic ICT team. Reporting to the Head of Digital and Service Transformation, you will provide effective leadership and management for all of the functions of the council’s ICT services. ICT encompasses a service desk, a web and business application service, a technical infrastructure team and you will oversee the compilation and delivery of agreed work plans by these teams.

This is an interesting and varied role in which you will find that no two days are the same. It is ideal for a pragmatic ICT Manager who is attracted by the breadth of work, high level of autonomy and has a clear idea of what ‘good’ looks like. You should want to make a difference and deliver real value to the community.

You should be an experienced IT professional with a proven track record in managing and motivating a high performing team. You will need to be organised and be able to oversee the delivery of multiple work streams. This will come with a demonstrable track record in project management and ICT business change/improvement. You should be an all-rounder with sound knowledge of business applications, websites, on-premise/cloud infrastructure and security principles. You will be working in a busy environment, so it is essential that you are well organised, resilient and flexible
