Great Crosby Catholic Primary School is one of the largest primary schools within the Archdiocese of Liverpool with 786 pupils on roll. Mainly 4 forms of entry throughout, the school benefits from a large site with its own Forest School provision, spacious yards and extensive playing fields.

Due to the early retirement of our long serving and dedicated current post holder we have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding and inspirational leader to join our committed team.

The Governors wish to appoint an Assistant Headteacher who is a practicing Catholic teacher capable of providing inspirational leadership in order to support our continuing journey to be an outstanding provider of Catholic education.

The successful candidate will:

• Have proven leadership experience within a Catholic School

• Be able to demonstrate a passion and enthusiasm for high quality teaching and learning that brings about high performance for all

• have high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour

• be an excellent leader and manager with sophisticated organisational skills and the ability to motivate others

• have a high level of IT competency that can be used both within teaching and administratively, and be an excellent people person

• Be an excellent communicator with a calm disposition and welcoming manner • Be able to work positively with parents and the wider school community

• Have a good sense of humour.
