Croydon Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and organised person with passion for parks and people. This is an exciting and demanding opportunity for someone to lead the strategic development of Croydon’s green and blue spaces for people and for nature.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering the newly adopted Parks and Green Spaces Renewal Strategy (2022-25) with their dedicated development team and in collaboration with the Grounds Maintenance team and other council services. It will require expertise from working within the sector, strong partnership management skills, a keen interest in nature and conservation and knowledge of emerging policy related to the wider benefits of access to and engagement with green infrastructure.
You will be a self-motivated, hard-working professional with strong leadership skills and an awareness of the value of green and blue spaces which you can communicate well across all formats and to a variety of internal and external stakeholders. It will require robust programme management skills and experience of staff management and engagement with political leadership.

Candidates will need experience and a successful track record of delivery within the environment sector.
