About the role

Bright Start Nursery is located in the heart of Brighton in the busy North Laine, we serve a diverse community with many different needs. The nursery is a cosy and friendly environment and provides children with lots of space to play and learn. We prioritise being a friendly and warm team. We look to create an environment where everyone is welcome. We have a purpose built playground space. We have a play- based approach to learning in a fun, happy and calm atmosphere.

We are looking for qualified Early Years Practitioners to join our team. Applicants must have experience of working with young children in an early years’ environment; experience of delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS); experience of meeting the individual needs of young children and their families; demonstrate a passion and commitment for providing high quality care and learning opportunities; be qualified to a minimum Level 2 in early years and childcare, or have a degree, and have excellent communication skills.

The roles involves being a key person for a group of children; building relationships; being an inspiration to the children; supporting attachment building; ensuring the children feel safe; planning activities; maintaining records; carrying out observations; assessing children and supporting growth and development.

We provide a full induction and training programme and ongoing support in the form of regular supervisions and appraisals.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.
