Waverley Borough Council owns and manages over 5000 homes, has an ambitious new Council house building programme and is one of the leading Councils in the South East at preventing homelessness. You’ll be joining an energetic and passionate team that is totally committed to providing the highest quality service to our tenants and pushing forward with a 10 year plan to deliver 100 new homes in the Borough. With Social Housing and preventing homelessness high on the Government’s agenda, you’ll play a leading part in maintaining and enhancing Waverley’s position in delivering homes for all.
As Housing Finance Manager, you will lead on the Housing Financial Strategy, identifying new opportunities and revenue streams, and you’ll balance the competing demands of investing in new and existing homes. You’ll develop and implement an effective business plan and ensure high level financial performance across the service, and be responsible for all aspects of housing financial management with revenue budgets of £31m per annum, accounting of £500m in assets and a capital programme of £24m.
We are looking for an ambitious, innovative, creative and forward thinking financial manager who will also be able to communicate effectively, both through articulate written reports and persuasive verbal presentation
This post is a full time role, 37 hours per week. However, all applications will be considered. Flexible working hours are optional which is to be discussed at the interview stage.
