An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead a new service.  We are looking for someone with a passion for helping children, young people with autism and/or learning disabilities and their families to get the right support from services across the whole system.

Wirral CCG in partnership with Wirral Council, have secured funding from NHS England and Improvement (NHSE &I) Transforming Care Programme to be an 'early adopter' site for key-working.  This role and function is a key objective in the NHS Long Term Plan. You will lead a team of three Keyworkers and a Project Support Officer.  You will be employed by Wirral Council and work across Health, Social Care, Education and other services/settings to navigate the system and provide challenge. This is to ensure that children, young people and their families can access the right support and achieve better outcomes.

This new way of working will be targeted to support children and young people with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities and their families.  You will be working and managing a team to prevent hospital admissions for those children/young people who face multiple vulnerabilities.

We are keen to recruit a diverse team from a wide variety of backgrounds. 

We would love to hear from you if:

            ' you have experience of working at a senior supervisory level

            ' you have a good record of managing staff and leading projects

            ' you are keen to make sure that young people are at the heart of any process and that their voice is heard

            ' you have a good understanding of working in partnership and developing positive relationships that really make things happen for young people

            ' you have a relevant professional background such as Social Care, Nursing, Youth Work, Allied Health Professional, Teaching

            ' you have substantial experience and/or training specific to Autism, behaviour that challenges services, communication difficulties

            ' you can work intensively with children/young people and their families, carers and network of professionals

            ' you are innovative with a passion for working to meet individual personalised needs

Interviews are planned during the first 2 weeks in June, and will be face to face.
