Right now there is a buzz about Waltham Forest. Bursting with culture, energy and opportunity, it is a place people want to live, raise a family and start a business.
Over the past few years Waltham Forest as a council has changed drastically, and despite the challenges of austerity, the organisation has seen its highest ever levels of resident satisfaction. As funding reductions continue, Waltham Forest is creating a council for the future.
Housing is huge on the council’s agenda and to reflect this, the housing service is part of Families & Homes Directorate to ensure families are supported to be more resilient and services are joined up. The council sees a strong link between housing, health and social care and is looking for the right people who share this vision.
