About the role

Brighton and Hove is a dynamic and vibrant city by the sea on the south east coast of England. This is a great opportunity to come and work with the progressive multi-disciplinary public health team at Brighton & Hove City Council. 

We are looking for a health promotion specialist to focus on HIV prevention, sexual health and substance misuse which are very varied, exciting, and challenging areas. 

The post holder will be required to develop, commission, manage and evaluate effective health promotion strategies, partnerships, and programmes across the City to improve health and well-being and reduce health inequalities in these fields.  This will entail delivering innovation and working with a wide range of partners and organisations including the NHS, the voluntary and community sector, the police, the education sector and others.

If you have a keen interest and experience in substance misuse or sexual health, enjoy partnership working, and are passionate about promoting health this could be a very satisfying post for you.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
