About the role
You will learn skills for life by becoming a JCR Support Worker Apprentice.
This role is in the Joint Community Rehabilitation (JCR) team, JCR is a partnership between East Sussex County Council and East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
JCR supports people at home becoming independent following a short reablement programme. Reablement is about teaching people to learn the skills how to get back to a level of independence following a period of illness. We will train you on the job and it won’t cost you a penny. You will then receive a certificate as an Adult Care Worker when you complete your apprenticeship and there are lots of opportunities to progress. Once you pass your apprenticeship you will be in a permanent role as a JCR Support Worker.
You don’t need any experience, just a desire to make a difference and a full driving licence.

For the purposes of enrolment on to the apprenticeship training course, we cannot accept applications from candidates with a qualification equal to or above in a related subject, or with more than 12-24 months of work experience in a similar role.
This role is eligible for the ESCC Refer a Friend scheme. This means, if you have been recommended by your friend who is an ESCC employee to apply for this role, you need to state it in your application form. You could then both be eligible for an incentive payment. Ask your ESCC friend about the scheme.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
