It’s an exciting time to join the team at Tandridge District Council. We are part way through an ambitious transformation project, changing the way we work and using the best technology to deliver services in a way our customers find easy to use and convenient.

We have broken out of the traditional silos and roles, empowering staff to work more flexibly in the delivery of our key priorities. We have introduced a set of attitudes and approaches which now underpin the way we work to ensure we get the best results.

We are looking for someone to work in our Strategy and Commissioning team for 18 months. Strategy and Commissioning sets direction, within the context of the Council’s vision and political steer, to achieve the Council’s ambitions and enhance its reputation. This service area ensures this is translated into the efficient and effective delivery of evidence-based strategy, planned services, actions and projects.

We are currently preparing our Local Plan, which will set the direction for development up to 2033, including provision of a new Garden Community. Your role will form a key part of the team to deliver the Local Plan, prepare documentation ready to submit the Plan to the Secretary of State and involved in the Examination in Public.

This fixed term appointment is at grade M4 and therefore applicants must demonstrate that they meet the criteria of the role at M4 level as described in the Role Specification.

In return we guarantee you an interesting job within a challenging, collaborative and friendly environment and lots of opportunity to get stuck in.

Interviews are scheduled to take place on the 19th September.
