The starting salary for this role is £53,018 per annum and is based on a 36 working hour week.

Orbis Procurement is a collaborative partnership between Surrey County Council, East Sussex County Council and Brighton and Hove City Council which manages a procurement spend of over £1.6bn a year with external suppliers. We are one of the largest local government procurement functions in the Country and pride ourselves on delivering value to our residents.   

We offer a great, flexible and supportive place to work and we are looking for a Resourcing Manager to join our team, offering a starting salary of £53,018. 

 Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Resources, we are looking for a candidate who will: 

  • Lead and co-ordinate the work of the Procurement Hub Team, delivering the work plan for the wider procurement service and the work it undertakes on behalf of the partner authorities. 
  • Monitor the Hub, in conjunction with both the PMO and the Data and Analytics team, and report back into the sovereign partners to check efficiencies and suggest improvements.  
  • Manage resourcing of the project portfolio across the Procurement function as well as its partner authorities.   
  • Facilitate the development of cross-functional working with other departments as well as commissioning services across Procurement to produce effective portfolio planning and associated systems.  
  • Work with the PMO assigned to the Hub to effectively manage the strategic flow of projects, including resources and/or learning and development that is required.  

The position is based at Woodhatch Place, Reigate, but some travel to our other offices in Lewes (County Hall) or Brighton (Hove Town Hall) may be required from time to time.
