Any financial or reporting systems skills or knowledge (Civica, Business Objects, Crystal or similar) would be an advantage, but don't let that put you off - if you have transferable skills, we'd love to hear from you.

Fixed term: until the end of June 2022.

Interview date: week commencing 7th February 2022.

For an informal discussion, please contact Martin Brown (Data Operations Lead) - martin.x.brown@brighton-hove.gov.uk or Rob Loughrey (Senior Finance Officer) - robert.loughrey@brighton-hove.gov.uk

About the role

Leading on the maintenance and development of the council’s primary financial and income management systems, you will become a subject matter expert in a number of areas and offer high-level support to colleagues in the team and to stakeholders across the council. You will participate in projects across the organisation, providing technical input & guidance towards best use of business and systems processes for new & existing workstreams, directing the work of the team to ensure systems are configured appropriately. You’ll be supported by friendly, knowledgeable, and technical colleagues to be a success in the role.

The opportunity is on a fixed term basis until the end of June 2022 so might be a great secondment opportunity, subject to your existing employers approval.

If this appeals to you, especially if you're from one of the under-represented groups mentioned below, please take a look in more detail at the job description and person specification and we hope you will apply. If successful, we'll arrange a virtual interview to look at your suitability further and for you to get a feel for the team and the work
