Full Time - Based at Enfield Civic Centre
Now is a great time to join Enfield Council.
Our flagship regeneration programme is Meridian Water, a £6 billion regeneration project of an 85hectare site in Edmonton to build a whole new neighbourhood for London. Our delivery approach is without precedent – The Council has taken control and will act as Master Developer for the site. We have acquired 37 hectares of land, built a new station and identified a partner for the first 1,000 homes.
We now need a dynamic Regeneration Manager to help deliver our responsibilities as Master Developer and landowner to begin to put in place a safe, secure and accessible neighbourhood. Working in the socio-economic and land team, this Regeneration Manager will oversee the effective management, maintenance and security of Meridian Water’s emergent brand-new estate areas and public realm, as well as the existing industrial and brownfield land. This role comes at a time when Meridian Water is at an important stage of transition, when construction sites are being brought forward, and meanwhile projects implemented. We need someone who is practical, strategic, resourceful and delivery focused.
This role is about representing the Council as landowner and Master Developer and about promoting the local authority’s values and responsibilities including management of public finances, democratic accountability and transparency. You will need experience of the property sector: estate management or property asset management. A good working knowledge of delivery of works (for example maintenance or repair) and a passion for regeneration projects is also a requirement. Generally, you will also have good project management and communication skills and must be a team player.
This is not your normal council job – we work at a fast pace, with a dynamic and a diverse team. The role does come with all the excellent benefits the Council provides – 31 days annual leave, flexible working, and excellent pension among other benefits.
If you are energetic and have the required experience and skills to join this very exciting project, we look forward to hearing from you.
