Job Duties:

We are seeking a highly competent and flexible Senior Support Officer to join our team – helping us deliver Hertfordshire’s vision as a “County of Opportunity” and respond to our ever-changing environment.

In the Business Support and Improvement team, we have a very diverse portfolio including providing Sustainable Growth Board support, arranging roadshows and inductions, providing project support and acting as the corporate contact and interface for areas such as finance, workforce, risk, performance, Business Continuity Planning and transformation projects.

The Sustainable Growth department touches the lives of everyone who lives in, works in and visits Hertfordshire. The department works closely with partners in the key areas of Growth, Sustainability and Development Management to ensure the wellbeing of our residents and businesses.

This role will appeal to you if you thrive on managing multiple tasks and stakeholders, are resilient, have a proven ability to manage complex activity, and can confidently, clearly and effectively communicate to a wide range of stakeholders. 

If you’re considering this role, you will:

  • Have Excellent Microsoft Office skills and proven ability to plan, prioritise, work at pace and organise workloads to meet targets and deadlines
  • The ability to communicate clearly and with confidence and adapt communication style to target audience
  • Have well developed organisational and project planning skills with the ability to deliver results.
  • Have proven ability to develop trust and assurance while working with senior managers and colleagues in the department
