About the role

Ocklynge School seeks INA's to work 1:1 with SEN needs pupils who require additional support to make the highest levels of progress both academically and socially.

You will need to be able to support the allocated pupil and build a good relationship with them to help promote development and growth within their education. You will work alongside the class teacher to prepare and plan lessons for your pupil and identify ways in which you can present this within their best interest for development. You will support the allocated pupil both inside and outside of the classroom as well as accompanying them on educational visits. You will ensure that the pupil understands all verbal and written instructions and is staying on track with tasks and will also help to facilitate inclusion and enable them to integrate with their peers.

You will have strong communication skills and be able to quickly build a good rapport with pupils. You will be a team player as you will be working closely with the classroom teacher and the pupil's parents/carers. You will be highly organised, creative and adaptive, being able to think on your feet to enable the pupil to overcome any barriers to learning.
