About the role

We are currently seeking a cleaner to join our friendly welcoming team. You will be required to keep designated areas of the school in a clean and hygienic condition, which may include classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and wash areas, and may vary between term time and school holiday periods. The successful candidate must be able to work to a high standard as part of a team responsible for cleaning the school in order to maintain a hygienic, safe and pleasant environment.


You will be expected to:
• Clean the school to a high standard.
• To ensure correct reporting and monitoring of any safeguarding issues arising across the school.
• To maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality and data security in respect of personal/student/colleague information.


The successful candidate will:
• Take pride in a job well done and be committed to achieving high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Understand work instructions and maintain working relationships with colleagues.
• Undertake cleaning duties and operate machinery safely and in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Be punctual and reliable.
• Be willing to undertake any training relevant to the role.
• Be trustworthy, maintaining confidentiality at all times in respect of school related matters.
• Manage their time effectively and be flexible around the demands of the position
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team whilst also demonstrating initiative to work without supervision.
