Wokingham Borough Council is looking for an Emergency Planning Manager to support the council’s preparedness to react to emergencies, to promote community resilience, and to prepare the Council for business continuity planning.

As an experienced Emergency Planning professional, with experience in public sector business continuity planning, you will be an advisor to Directorate Leadership Teams, providing timely and high-quality  advice as well as developing strong working relationships with key external stakeholders, such as police and fire services.

About you:

To be considered for the role you must have demonstrable knowledge of current emergency planning legislation, Integrated Emergency Management and Business Continuity Management. You should have experience of emergency planning and incident management, together with a proven track record of partnership working and project management.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent collaboration, communication and presentation skills, you will also have an excellent track record in delivering a customer focused service.

You will be based in the Civic Offices in Wokingham town centre, a short walk from the railway station and easily accessible by car.  The future working pattern is likely to be a combination of flexible home working and office based.
