The Governors of Manor Park School and Nursery are seeking to appoint a permanent Site Maintenance Officer (SMO) to join our outstanding team as soon as possible.

This is an exciting and varied role in a friendly and inclusive school, with a chance to grow and develop for the right candidate. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the school grounds and buildings, undertaking minor repairs and liaising with external maintenance contractors to ensure the highest possible standard of cleanliness and health and safety are maintained. The role requires the ability to work in a busy school environment and to work efficiently, sometimes under pressure, by prioritising and taking initiative. Applicants should be organised, be approachable/friendly, flexible and possess excellent communication skills along with having the ability to multitask. Experience in a similar role is preferred.  Experience in a school setting is desirable. Training will be provided for the successful candidate. The hours of work are Monday-Friday 7am to 12 noon, 52 weeks per year (an annual leave allowance of minimum 4 weeks will be provided).
