Location: Flexible working arrangements; we are majority working from home, but some travelling between Havering Town Hall and Newham Dockside could be required.
About Us: We are currently recruiting an ambitious individual for the senior role of Digital Services Manager to lead the Digital Services team in the one source IT shared service team, which is dedicated to excellence by delivering a first-class professional ‘business critical’ service to our partner authorities.
Our partner authorities have exciting, ambitious transformational programmes to make our digital, data and technology services the best in class for public services. You will be part of a team responsible for Architecting, Developing and Implementing new Digital, Data and Technology services and making a mark in delivering a professional IT service, gain sector recognition and promote the OneSource brand. In return we will support your development to give you the necessary skills and knowledge backed up with a friendly and supportive team.

The Digital Service Managers will deliver innovative world-class digital services on a modern technological footing exploiting current and future technologies based on user needs. Building high-quality technological capability in house in order to drive real transformation using Digital by Default Service Standard to be best in class for local government. To make digital and innovation an integral part of the way we deliver transformational services across both councils, ensuring that the customer is at the heart of everything we do.
About You: You will have:
- Proven leadership in successful digital service delivery.
- Successful design, delivery and ongoing management of high quality services which maximised opportunities offered by digital technology.
- Proven grasp and expertise in analysing and using customer insight and user and performance data in the design of Services.
- The ability to drive continuous improvement of digital services to fully meet user needs in a convenient and straightforward way.
- The ability to implement channel shift strategies to move users from traditional to digital delivery channels.
- Project and technology skills including use of current agile project management practices, and familiarity with open source, cloud platforms and digital service technologies
- Experience of driving the transformation of organisations by delivering end-to-end digital services, not those who will maintain the status quo. The Digital Service Managers will be executives with the operating experience, management skills, strategic mind-set and vision to lead the OneSource into an increasingly digital future.
