Travel Assistance Service
London Borough of Newham’s Travel Assistance Service is responsible for providing home-to-school and home-to-day care centre transport for young children with special needs and vulnerable adults using a varied fleet of vehicles.
A Passenger Transport Escort will ensure that travel takes place safely, with dignity, efficiently and on time. To perform this role successfully you will need to demonstrate that you:
• Have experience of working with either children, the elderly or the disabled
• Can deal with situations calmly and safely, when they arise
• Can work as part of a team in an organised and professional manner
• Understand the needs of vulnerable people and how best to deal with them.
• Can communicate clearly in writing
