  • Working Pattern: Part Time
  • Hours: 21.6 hours per week
  • Salary: £14,868 per annum (FTE £24,780)
  • DBS Check: Yes
  • Location: Woking

The starting salary for this role is £14,868 per annum (FTE £24,780) based on a 21.6 hour working week.

This role can be done remotely and/or at Active Surrey's office in Woking. We’re less about you driving to work and more about us collectively driving down our carbon footprint. We care about how you work rather than where you work; the people rather than the postcode. In support of our people and our greener futures strategies, we’d welcome a conversation with the successful candidate on what remote working may look like for you.

We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual to provide the Active Surrey team with administrative support for a fast moving programme. The successful candidate will deliver efficient and effective customer service through our Club4 Holiday Activities with Food programme which will provide active, healthy, and enriching school holiday provision for children eligible for benefit-related free school meals across Surrey.

At Active Surrey, we believe that movement matters. It matters to our health, our schools, our communities and our environments.

As the Active Partnership for Surrey, we work collaboratively to help everyone in Surrey realise the benefits of a more active way of life. We focus on influencing systems, removing barriers and creating opportunities to get people moving more. It is our vision that all of us in Surrey embrace the habit of moving more, to improve our own wellbeing and to thrive as an active community. Our work enables everyone, even the most vulnerable, deprived or disengaged in Surrey, to lead more active and enriched lives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Finalising grant/funding agreements with HAF delivery partners
  • Tracking delivery of the HAF programme across the county
  • Ensuring payments to grant recipients are processed
  • Providing customer service, administrative and occasionally operational support in the delivery of the HAF programme in Surrey.

We are looking for someone who is methodical and organised, with strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have a business management or administrative qualification and experience of working in a busy office environment.

Active Surrey, part of the national Active Partnership (AP) Network, is a not-for-profit organisation, hosted by Surrey County Council. The job will involve occasional evening or weekend work so some flexibility may be required as well as an expectation that the post holder will be available for the majority of the main school holidays. The role is part time and there is flexibility over how these hours are managed during the working week and across the year, subject to business requirements being met.

At Surrey, our values and behaviours are just as important as our skills and abilities. They shape who we are as an organisation. Find out more about the values we follow.

For more information please find the full job description below and refer to this before submitting your application. We also invite you to read our Life at Surrey handbook to see insights of the culture at Surrey and how as a valued employee, you can help shape our Council.
