The starting salary for this position is £31,273 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

This role is open to remote working meaning you aren't required in the office 5 days a week. We’re less about you driving to work and more about us collectively driving down our carbon footprint. We are looking for an outstanding person to coordinate our ongoing county wide holiday activities with food programme, Club4. Coordination of the Club4 programme will result in young people eligible for benefit-related free school meals across Surrey being offered active, healthy and enriching holiday provision in the coming year.

The successful candidate will lead on the delivery of the Club4 programme in Surrey across the main school holiday periods in 2022, including engaging with delivery partners, setting the framework for high quality provision across the county and developing wider public, private and voluntary sector partnerships.

Under the oversight of a Programme Manager, the Programme Lead will manage a Programme Officer as well as manage several delivery partner relationships. The Lead will coordinate all aspects of the programme and will work closely with Active Surrey and wider County Council colleagues to achieve this.

We are looking for someone with a background in Project Management and/or physical activity/play development, who has strong communication (verbal and written) and organisational skills and is both customer-focused and creative in finding new approaches and solutions to challenges. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Set up and manage deliverer relationships to ensure high quality, county wide provision
  • Oversee the grant funding process
  • Advise on quality assurance and safeguarding across the county wide provision
  • Share best practice and build new sustainable partnerships for the future
  • Manage performance and evaluation criteria

Active Surrey, part of the national Active Partnerships (AP) Network, is a not for-profit organisation, hosted by Surrey County Council. This agile role can be done remotely and/or at Active Surrey's office in Woking. The job will involve meetings with partners and clients so the ability to travel around the county is therefore required for this post (travel costs are reimbursed). The work will also include occasional weekend and evening work as well as an expectation that the post-holder will be available for the majority of the school holidays.
