It’s an exciting time for Adult Social Care in North Somerset as we prepare to work with the new Vision Strategy to meet the needs of the local community. Based in Castlewood, Clevedon, we have a vacancy for a permanent, full time, qualified Social Worker; part time applicants would be considered.
The role involves assessing, signposting and arranging services for adults, who because of range physical/sensory impairments, and/or social care problems are experiencing difficulties. It will also involve carrying out safeguarding enquiries; transitions work and Mental capacity and Best interest assessments. You will work within the legal duties of the Care Act and have an interesting and varied caseload of service users. Knowledge and preferably experience in Care Management, Safeguarding Adults and Mental Capacity Act processes is required.

Sound computer skills and being able to travel is important. This post is based in the Worle Integrated Care Team but we work closely with the other Social Care locality teams and the relevant community health teams. We support flexible and mobile working.
