Committed to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction the Practice Development team are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and talented individual to work as part of a team.

As a Senior Learning and Development Officer you will play a key role in the creative design, development and commissioning of a range of learning resources and training for staff working across adult social care in Hertfordshire County Council. As well as support and administer on projects such as Social Work Teaching Partnership.

An understanding of the different ways people learn will be a distinct advantage and supporting staff to progress into degree apprenticeships.

Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to positively influence change and an aptitude for delivering clear messages to colleagues and partners will be a requirement.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Head of Practice Development you will work closely with colleagues within ACS, external partners, and wider stakeholders to successfully deliver a range of learning and development projects which meet the strategic priorities of ACS. The successful applicant will have excellent organisational skills, be able to work independently on their own initiative and be capable of working using own initiative to complete tasks and meet deadlines.

Experience of Social Care, a flexible proactive approach, and the ability to work with conflicting priorities with excellent attention to detail is desirable although there will be plenty of opportunities for professional development within the role.

The role will primarily require you to work from home and there are options for flexible working.
