About The Job
Salary: £29,577 - £32,234 (pro-rata)
Working Pattern: Part-time (Mixed - 18.5 hours - 30 hours per week)

At West Sussex County Council, what we do changes lives. Are you resilient, adaptable and looking for a dynamic Occupational Therapist position within a supportive service that innovates and grows?
We are looking for Occupational Therapists to be part of a strong and dynamic Regaining Independence team. You will be required to undertake strengths-based assessment, utilising Occupational Therapy skill and knowledge to develop and implement a reablement plan that promotes wellbeing and independence for the people of West Sussex.
As well as having the ability to manage a caseload, you will be expected to provide Occupational Therapy advice and knowledge to partner agencies and Social Care professionals.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to manage complex and sensitive situations.
Experience and Skills
- Ability to apply a risk enablement approach and use evidence-based practice.
- Ability to complete a strengths-based assessment (as directed by the Care Act 2014).
- Ability to develop a person-centred care and support plan with clearly defined outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to use a variety of information technologies.
- Ability to prioritise and organise work and meet agreed performance expectations.
Qualifications and/or experience:
- Diploma /BSc Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
