The starting salary for this position is £15,143.33 per annum based on a 22 hour working week (3 days), pro-rata to £24,780.
This is a two year fixed-term post based at High Ashurst Outdoor Education Centre, Mickleham, Dorking, Surrey, as well as regular visits to our two other centres in Guildford and Richmond. This is a fantastic opportunity for a digital savvy marketer to make a real impact within our exciting outdoor learning organisation; Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development (SOLD).
We work primarily with schools but also youth and special needs groups as well as young adults, to develop personal skills in the outdoors through exciting and challenging outdoor activities.
We have three outdoor learning centres, an outreach team and canal boat within Surrey to deliver these outdoor learning programmes and activities. We also have a growing holiday and weekend activity provision for children aged 5-13 years.
Working as part of a small team, we are looking for a self-motivated digital marketer who has a thorough grasp of digital marketing and creating captivating content and campaigns across the marketing mix as well as confident in creating new content and updating our website using a CMS. Excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and resourcefulness are key to this position.
This role will also be involved in broader marketing communications, with emphasis on digital and web development to drive a marked increase in business, meeting income targets, whilst promoting SOLD's mission, vision and core values. This role will support SOLD's marketing team taking responsibility for specific projects and activities that further raise awareness of the SOLD brands and drive income growth.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Experience of using web CMS, Adobe or similar graphic packages
- Proven marketing experience B2B and B2C and a track record of successfully managing projects
- Technical experience in digital marketing practices such as SEO, conversion optimisation/ROI, PPC, and SM content creation
- A positive, customer focussed attitude
- Solid experience of using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Site Improve.
- Confident copy writing skills
- Creativity and innovation with the ability to multi-task, follow instructions and use own initiative
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- An ability to work effectively under pressure
- Good team-working skills
You must be able to travel to all centres as business requires. High Ashurst and Henley Fort are in remote locations. It is highly recommended that you carefully consider your transportation arrangements before applying for this role.
