A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Assessment, Resource and Provision Planning Team for a Senior SEN Casework Officer role.

Working as Senior SEN Casework Officer some of your responsibilities will include the following:

  • To lead and manage the performance of a team of SEN casework officers through the setting of targets, monitoring of progress and supporting professional development.
  • To provide leadership, vision and clear direction through inspiration, influence, negotiation and through management structures.
  • To act as the lead officer in preparing for and attending formal mediation as the Local Authority representative and acting as the lead officer in liaising with the relevant Legal Services Officer to support in the preparation of papers and the case for Tribunal appeals.
  • To ensure that parents & young people are fully involved in drawing up EHC plans, and in reviews and assessments.
