The starting salary for this role is £17,833 per annum and is based on a 36 working hour week.
Our children's home looks after up to 4 young people aged between 14-18 years old and provides a safe and nurturing environment for young people who have experienced challenging and traumatic life events. This position offers you the opportunity to join a dedicated and energetic team that provides the best possible quality of personalised care for young people that meets each child’s needs and promotes their welfare.
We are looking for a new fulltime Housekeeper who takes pride in the home and helps create a clean and homely environment.
The main purpose of the job is to ensure the home is clean and tidy throughout, areas of work should be cleaned to the required high standards and specification. You will also ensure there are enough grocery supplies.
Your job as Housekeeper will include:
- Daily general cleaning, hoovering, mopping, dusting
- Cleaning toilets/bathrooms/kitchen
- Shopping for groceries
- Helping with lunch preparation and hosting for visitors
You will be approachable, friendly and a good team player. You will understand the need for confidentiality.
To be shortlisted to interview for this post you will need to clearly evidence:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work thoroughly and manage your workload effectively
- A good understanding of health and safety practices
- Ability to work alone
- Ability to communicate with staff and young people
- Cleaning experience
You will also need a full driving license.
