This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has excellent customer care skills from a retail, accounts, debt recovery or similar background to work in a fast-paced environment providing great service to our Council Tax and Business Rates customers. Your role will mainly involve setting up and monitoring payment plans, and you will be responding to customer queries by phone, email or letter.
Ideally, we would like someone who has knowledge of Council Tax and Business Rates administration, but full on-the-job training will be provided and you may be working in a customer facing role with strong admin skills. The job requires good negotiation skills, empathy and an ability to keep calm in a busy environment.
Whilst this post is based in the Recovery Team (collecting post-court arrears), this role also offers the opportunity to progress your career within the separate Council Tax and Business Rates Teams.
Please note this position requires a basic DBS check.

We are currently working full remotely for the foreseeable future when we anticipate returning to the office on a flexible basis which will still include work from home and flexi time opportunities but candidates should be within commutable distance of our offices in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire or able to attend meetings as required if further afield.
