Mid Sussex have an exciting opportunity available for an individual looking to develop a career within Local Authority tree and countryside management as a Part-Time Arboriculture Officer. The successful candidate will quickly learn skills and develop knowledge to be a key resource with a sound technical knowledge and a clear understanding of how an arboricultural service fits within the council in this attractive part of West Sussex
Salary from £26,511 to £28,672 pa pro rata for 21.12 hours per week fixed term for 18 months subject to experience + Car allowance up to £1,239 pa
To be successful in the role, we’ll expect you to be a confident and motivated self-starter with an appetite for learning and developing. You will have an in-depth knowledge of tree management, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience of working with contractors, residents, Councillors, and other departments to achieve best practice is also an essential requirement.
Excellent customer service skills are vital as you will be a key point of contact for members of the public and dealing with them professionally is a key part of this role.
