The Hertfordshire Shared Anti-Fraud Service (SAFS) provides an award winning counter fraud service to our partner organisations across Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire. Based on the previous success, we are now able to expand the team, providing a vacancy for someone looking for new challenges. This post requires someone willing to work in a high pressure environment to demanding targets and delivering excellent outcomes.

Working as part of the Intelligence Team within the Shared Anti-Fraud Service you must be able to develop professional relationships, have excellent IT skills, be prepared to learn, and develop as well as undertake nationally accredited training. The post is based at our Hertford office with flexibility to work from home.

Although not essential, experience of criminal or enforcement investigations and/or working knowledge of Local Government is desirable.

This is a career scheme post with the opportunity to complete the Counter Fraud Investigator Level 4 Apprenticeship. Entry requirements for the apprenticeship are Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A*-C/9-4 or equivalent). Applicants without this would need to achieve this alongside their apprenticeship before completing their end point assessment. As part of this role, you will be required to travel to other HCC Sites/Residences using your own mode of transport. In light of this, the ability to drive and/or travel around the County is required. For this role a DBS check will be required on appointment.
