About the role
The Coronavirus pandemic has forced the public sector to work at extreme pace and with much uncertainty, to protect our people and economy. In East Sussex, the County Council and our partners have stepped up to deliver programmes that keep people safe and well; and to minimise the short and long-term impacts of the pandemic. We have been required to respond speedily and work in new ways.
This is a time limited but essential role working with members of the Public Health senior management team to respond to critical ongoing demands associated with the management of the COVID pandemic and the recovery of core business as usual functions. The postholder will undertake a variety of tasks including review and management of Covid related data, assisting the GP Clinical Lead with co-ordination and provision of local Covid testing, and ensuring the provision of website accessible Public health data and reports including the Annual Report of the Director of Public Health.
You will have to work autonomously and be accountable for the delivery of a variety of activities that are critical to the ongoing Public Health response to Covid in a changing landscape.
Your reward will come from working within a fantastic team and on reducing the impact of Covid through essential testing and data work. If you’re excited by this prospect; we want to hear from you!
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
