About the role
An opportunity has arisen to join the administration team within Adult Social Care in the Community Learning Disability Team for a 12-month secondment role.
The Community Learning Disability Team is a frontline social work team, supporting adults with learning disabilities.
Our administrators play a key role in supporting the Council, helping us to provide a better service to the people of East Sussex.
Working in an ever-changing environment, you will be required to multi-task and work to deadlines. You will be supporting the team with Safeguarding and Duty administration, particularly taking minutes of meetings including Safeguarding meetings, as well as supporting in all aspects of general administration and that of a loggist.
You will be required to work independently, on your own initiative and as part of a team with varied support needs, but we’ll make sure you get all the training and support you need to succeed.
You will have a passion to want to help people, delivering excellent customer service and be a great communicator.
You will have a good knowledge and experience of MS office/IT skills.
Ongoing training and development opportunities can be made available to you.
During the Covid-19 recovery period, colleagues are mainly working from home and await ongoing guidance from chief executives about returning to offices and a hybrid working pattern.
Your base will be Cavendish House in Hastings.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
