This is a new and exciting opportunity. We are looking to appoint a Business Manager to work as part of our team in our Safeguarding Children Partnership to support the statutory safeguarding partners and relevant agencies to co-ordinate their safeguarding services.

North Somerset’s Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSSCP) is a multi-agency partnership (North Somerset Council, Clinical Commissioning Group and Avon and Somerset Police) which works together to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people across the area. The aim of the Partnership is to coordinate safeguarding services; act as a strategic leadership group in supporting and engaging others; and implement local and national learning including from serious child safeguarding incidents.

The successful candidate will oversee and manage the operational delivery of the NSSCP’s business plan by providing leadership and support to the NSSCP’s work streams - championing the voice of the child, promoting a multi-agency learning culture of high support and high challenge and ensuring compliance with local and regional training strategies, procedural frameworks, quality assurance frameworks and statutory arrangements for Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews.

This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
