We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced individual to act as the Council’s designated Data Protection Officer.
This is a key role within the Council’s well-established structure for information governance. You will lead on all areas associated with the statutory Data Protection Officer role, together with Freedom of Information. You will also be the Council’s Senior Responsible Person for CCTV.
You will be an expert in all matters related to GDPR, subject access requests, and guiding colleagues in correct procedure for GDPR. You should have a technical mindset to analyse data protection and processing issues in the context of complex IT systems and associated risk management. Furthermore, you will play a key part in future digital transformation projects (including Microsoft 365 suite).
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent. Efficient home-working arrangements are well established.
