PART-TIME CUSTOMER SERVICE ADVISOR
Scale 1-4 (from £17,842 per annum pro rata to hours worked)

The Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated professional to join our busy Revenues and Benefits Customer Service Team and provide an effective service for our customers.
The successful candidate will have 3 GCSE’s grade A*-C or equivalent including English and will ideally have current experience within a Revenues and Benefits environment. However, we will consider applicants that do not have this knowledge but do have general customer service experience. This role will involve assisting customers with queries relating to the billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax and Business Rates; and queries relating to Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support.
The post is offered on a part time basis of 30 hours per week and the days and times would be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00am till 5pm and Friday 8:30am – 4:30 pm with half an hour for lunch each day.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide information, advice and instruction in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement.
The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme and will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure.
