About the role

We are a two-form entry primary school, in Lewes, only a short train ride from Eastbourne and Brighton. Wallands is a school in a beautiful part of East Sussex, set in wonderful grounds and situated on the edge of the South Downs National Park. We have supportive, caring and dedicated staff and governing body and fabulous children.

Would you like to be part of our great team? Our school is on an exciting journey and we are looking for an Extended Schools Coordinator who will make a difference to our children.

Do you enjoy being in the company of children, listening to what they say and helping them in their learning and play?

We are looking for somebody to work in a flexible manner to provide After School Club, which;
- supports learning;
- provides opportunities for pupils to develop social skills;
- provides an engaging environment for children at our school.

Pupils like school, feel safe and support each other well. They are polite and happy. They trust adults and engage with them. They are proud of their school and say that it is ‘amazing’. Ofsted February 2019.

If you think you have all the skills above, we would welcome you as part of our team.
We would encourage a visit to the school, please phone or email to arrange this or to have an informal discussion with the Headteacher.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children and therefore each post is subject to a DBS (Disclosure and Barring service) check.

This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
