Brent Council’s wholly owned housing company, i4B, has negotiated the purchase of a brand new apartment block in Wembley Park which will provide much-needed affordable accommodation for key workers across the borough and beyond. As a social care professional, you will be responding to those in need of social care support and taking appropriate interventions as required. You will be working in the complex area of the business dealing with adults aged 18yrs+. You will carry out a range of required assessments, reviews and will set up appropriate packages of support in accordance with relevant legislation.
You will also carry out s.42 Safeguarding Enquiries. Our Social Workers here at Brent use a strength-based approach to promote the independence, interest and rights of our residents and their families. Across our Adult Social Care service, we strive to deliver a culture of working together, positive risk taking and accountability. Our core aim is to support our residents to be influential active members of our community.
You will be committed to work to achieve the best outcomes for service users; you will demonstrate a ‘can do attitude’, you will be willing to work as part of a team, but also able to use your own initiative; you will evidence professional curiosity and tenacity to work with those who may not always want to engage and/or access services necessary to maintain their well-being in the community.
You will have good written communication and writing skills. You will be a qualified social worker and be registered with Social Work England.
