Job duties

We’re seeking to recruit to a fixed term Business Improvement Officer to support Hertfordshire Sensory Strategy (countywide), which seeks to address the gaps and integrate the commissioning and delivery of health and social care services for children and adult with sensory needs

We’re looking for a confident individual who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed to improving outcomes for people with sensory needs. Experience of minute-taking at meetings, preparing agendas and tracking of risks & actions.

In addition to personal traits such as tenacity, resilience, creativity, and the ability to self-start, below are the top five competencies for a Business Improvement officer.

 

  • Strong collaborative skills -Evidence of creating good working relationships with a range of partners and stakeholders
  • Project information control -The Business Improvement Officers are the stewards of project information. You would be the first point of contact if anyone on the project wants the latest status, figures, actions, or issues.
  • Best practices - Best practices reflect the method, processes, standards, procedures, and tools of project management needed to work efficiently.
  • Quality control and assurance the areas in which every project support worker is involved include audits, reviews, compliance, health checks, gateways, and configuration management.
  • Project support - Support can come in many shapes and sizes, making the support officer indispensable. The nature of the role means you are often the center point for the project - along with the Sensory Strategy Development Manager.

 

The post holder will predominantly support Hertfordshire Sensory Strategy but may also support relevant joint working projects relating to sensory needs within HCC

 

About us

Sensory Strategy is governed by the Sensory strategic Partnership Board, consisting representatives across Adult Social Care, Children Services, NHS (providers and commissioners) and voluntary sectors to achieve better outcomes for people with sensory needs. The post will be working directly with the Development Manager (Sensory Strategy) and liaising closely with Sensory Services Team Manager and Head of Older People & Sensory Services.
