Housing has a very high profile on the council’s agenda and to reflect this, the Housing Service,  is part of Resident’s Services  Directorate which is the hub of universal services to residents.

About the role

As a key member of the Housing Strategy & Options Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for a number of key services.

  • Maximising rental income from our temporary accommodation for homeless families
  • Ensuring that accommodation providers are paid in line with our contractual obligations
  • Managing the allocation of social housing ensuring compliance with statutory provisions.

 About you

You will bring a wealth of expertise having managed a number of services in the housing options arena.

You must  be able to deliver at pace , delegating appropriately whilst maintaining a strategic view.

Your technical ability is crucial to your success so must not be wanting as you will be expected to understand the necessary details to influence the strategic direction.
