Salary: WY09 - £32,910 - £34,728

West Yorkshire Trading Standards is looking to recruit to the above post to continue to provide comprehensive support to our Primary Authority partnerships. As a member of the Business Growth and Regulation team you will be working with colleagues to provide regulatory services focussing on consumer product safety, age restricted sales, the car trade, and Primary Authority Partnerships. The post holder will be required to spend a dedicated proportion of their time acting as Primary Authority Officer for major Primary Authority clients.

Part of West Yorkshire Joint Services you would be working in a fast paced organisation, covering a population of  2.3 million people and serving the five District Councils of Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield.

For this role we are interested in receiving applications from people who are suitably qualified, persistent, determined, patient, thorough, pay attention to detail, and have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Needless to say you will need to be an excellent communicator, have a professional yet personable manner and be extremely self-aware
