An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking 0-25 Disability Team.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced OT who is able to enhance the teams services to children and young people with complex social care needs. This can be due to physical and/or learning disabilities and other conditions such as autism and behaviours that challenge.  We aim to enable every individual to reach their full potential by supporting them, working in a person centred way, to engage in meaningful occupation, maximising independence, building confidence and achieving best outcomes.

To realise this, we expect the candidate to apply strengths based and occupationally focused interventions such as re-ablement, contribute to the assessment of sensory processing disorders, arrange major and minor adaptations, advise and provide equipment and apply specialist moving handling skills. It is also essential to work collaboratively with our Social Work colleagues and partnership agencies promoting each individuals aspirations and enhancing service users life skills to allow maximum engagement with the wider community and successful transition into adulthood.

We are looking for an OT who will contribute to our service development as well as benefit from the support of the small but extremely skilled and knowledgeable OT team. We maintain a very strong continuous professional development culture to ensure we deliver the best outcomes and deliver the maximum impact we can with the resources available.
