Learning and Development Officer – Birmingham Safeguarding Children Partnership

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and ambitious Learning and Development professional to help take Multi Agency Learning and Development to the next level.
This is an exciting opportunity to hold a unique and extremely varied role within Birmingham Safeguarding Children Partnership that will encompass Learning and Development , Multi-Agency Partnership Working and digital content creation and development.
Some of your week will be dedicated to organising and coordinating the Learning and Development training and webinar programme where your sound knowledge of L&D and evaluation theory and principles, as well as your safeguarding knowledge and sharp attention to detail will come to the fore. You will also deputise for the L&D programme Manager as required.
Other projects will require regular dedicated time to design and produce eLearning on a variety of subjects. Here your digital content creation and manipulation skills will be used and further expanded. Before long you and your colleagues will be able to look at a varied, high quality suite of safeguarding content for practitioners and say: “We did that”.
Your collaborative approach and excellent communication skills with staff at all levels will enable you to build and nurture positive working relationships across multiple organisations whilst utilising the experience and knowledge of practitioners and other L&D professionals.
You should have previous experience of working within a Learning and Development environment, ideally within the public sector, along with some experience of designing or developing eLearning packages and some knowledge of manipulating content including video and images. Further development in this area will be provided as well as training to use the teams in-house eLearning building tool.
A willingness to work with your colleagues to achieve our common goals highlighted in BSCPs business plan is also vital.
