The starting salary for this role is £35,382 per annum for a 36 hour working week.
We are excited to recruit a new Senior Communications Officer in Surrey County Council's Communications department. You will support the planning, implementation and evaluation of Surrey County Council’s Community Protection Group communications using relevant tools and channels. Our Community Protection Group includes:
- Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS)
- Buckinghamshire and Surrey Trading Standards
- Coroner’s Service
- Military Covenance
- Emergency Planning
- Corporate Health & Safety
You will support the Communications Account Manager as a subject specialist for either department or communications service and play a key role in the production of high-quality promotional material and the identification of positive stories about the work of the organisation and staff. In this role, your primary focus will be on internal communications.
Deputising for your line manager will also be a responsibility, so we’re looking for someone who will help us make a positive impact.
